In the heart of the sleepy hamlet, where the sun, reluctant yet tender, cast its first caress upon the slumbering fields, lay the cradle of tranquil wont — Willowbury.

A place seemingly untouched by the ruthless march of time, where whispers of yesteryears reverberate through rustic lanes adorned with homes adorned in ivy's green embrace. The town basks in the warmth of familiarity, where every creaking porch and every tale spun over firelight is an old, cherished lullaby.

But beneath this idyllic visage, woven into the very fabric of its placid tapestry, threads of secrecy lay clandestine. Murmurs hinted at petals tainted with forbidden hues, a malady creeping 'pon the golden harvest — a rot gnawing at life's bounty. 

In this persevering land of humility and piety, riddles begin in hushed whispers, telling of hidden secrets, and cryptic depictions that speak of destiny's dance. In the guise of the ordinary, a celestial conjunction beckons — a revelation awaits in the depths below, as if the heavens themselves conspire in scripture, writing the canticles of Willowbury.

Canticles of Willowbury is an adventure setting set in a small, isolated village, inspired by classic OSR fantasy modules and certain isometric ARPG computer games that take place in cathedrals, and includes:

• 8 town locales
• 13 unique adventure seeds, each one connecting into the main story
• GM guidance for introducing the setting, connecting the seed, and story pacing
• 7 room dungeon filled with treasure, traps, and danger (and tables!)
• Mechanics for players and NPCs afflicted with the Vampiric Curse
• 5 new magical items - Amulet of Echoes, Luminous Lantern, Ever-Sharp Dagger, and Goblet of Healing Waters, and a Whetstone that restores 1 usage on weapons

Canticles of Willowbury has been listed as In Development - additional artwork and maps have been commissioned, and are currently marked in the release with placeholders. When those assets are available, an update will be issued.
