Lading's Gambit

  Along the weathered docks of the Brackenbay River, the water glistens with the promise of adventure. Within the clamor of the docks and the bustle of its denizens, Port Lading beckons to daring mice, industrious ants, and the fickle tides of fortune.

  The grand riverboat casino, the Queen’s Belle, stands resplendent, a floating palace of lights and laughter. Owned by the illustrious Mr. Bartholomew “Barty” Whiskers, it hosts a grand tournament for the boldest and wealthiest mice. Yet, beneath this polished veneer, darkness lingers.

  Slick, the notorious leader of the Wharf Rats, has something in store for the tournament, as the glittering prize money stands  guarded. Meanwhile, the docks seethe with tension, as Russet and her steadfast Dockworkers' Union protest the unfair glowberry embargo.

  Professor Cragstone, a scholar of renown, investigates the theft of his treasured Luminous Compass from within his cluttered study, while the Smugglers’ Den hums with covert operations beneath an abandoned moonshiner’s shack. As the currents of fate converge, every choice could tip the scales of fortune.
